Lentigo Laser Treatment with Precise Targeting
A Sophisticated Approach for Lentigo Improvement
Using a 755nm Alexandrite laser that effectively targets melanin pigment and safely reaches deep into the skin,
we precisely treat dark and prominent lentigo areas.
If necessary, an Er:YAG Erbium Yag
laser can be used in conjunction to manage even fine residual pigments on the surface. Improvement can typically be expected within 2-3 treatment sessions. Rather than excessive repeated
treatments, we strive to achieve efficient results through precise diagnosis and treatment planning.
We do our best to help you achieve noticeable improvements through lentigo treatment.
Why We Prioritize Thorough Care
We prioritize the quality of our treatments, which is why we limit the number of patients seen by each medical professional per day. This is a deliberate decision to dedicate sufficient time and focus to each individual patient.
This policy is designed to provide patients with more in-depth care.
Through this system, detailed
explanations and personalized plans can be established. Furthermore, this allows us the time to meticulously observe and respond to each patient's skin condition and reaction.
This allows for more thorough care. As a result, the precision of treatment is enhanced, moving beyond simple,
repetitive consultations to truly personalized care. At our clinic, we prioritize satisfactory results over efficiency, genuinely focusing on each patient's
skin.
Personalized Treatment Settings
We adjust treatment parameters such as laser spot size, pulse energy, and fluence, considering the patient's skin tone, lesion size and depth, and skin sensitivity.
For example, if the skin is light and the pigmentation is shallow,
we meticulously treat the lesion using an appropriate spot size and energy,
while for darker skin tones or sensitive skin with a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, we perform a safety-conscious treatment through fine-tuned power adjustments.
Such detailed customized settings are a crucial factor that can enhance the precision of treatment results, even with the same laser equipment.
Systematic Recovery Management Plan
As the 755nm Alexandrite laser is highly effective in pigment removal, temporary redness or
a temporary darkening of the treated area's pigment may occur after treatment, necessitating systematic regeneration and UV protection management.
Additionally, because individual pain sensitivity varies during 755nm laser and Erbium Yag laser treatments,
you can comfortably decide whether to apply anesthetic cream during your pre-treatment consultation.
After treatment, we provide soothing care, including cooling and Jauungo modeling packs, for skin experiencing warmth,
and use genuine Duoderm, available at our clinic, to aid smooth recovery and protect the treated area from UV rays when you go outside.
Designed Treatment for Overall Pigmentation, Not Just Lentigo
Many patients who visit us for lentigo removal also have dermal pigmentation like melasma in addition to lentigo. While focusing solely on lentigo removal is one approach, patients often seek improvement for various pigmented concerns that make their entire face appear
patchy.
Through thorough consultation and diagnostic device analysis, we scientifically classify the pigmentation on your face. Based on this, we decide whether to proceed with targeted treatment focused on epidermal pigmentation, or a comprehensive treatment considering the overall pigment balance.
This allows us to aim for more satisfying skin improvements.
Why Do Lentigines Occur?
Solar lentigo is a flat, brownish pigmented lesion primarily caused by UV exposure and skin aging.
It refers to a condition where melanin cells are excessively activated, leading to an over-deposition of pigment in specific areas.
Repeated exposure to UV radiation causes continuous melanin production, and as one ages,
the skin's regenerative capacity and pigment metabolic function decline, causing lentigines to gradually darken and spread. They primarily appear on the face, back of hands, and arms, characterized by clear borders
and a dark brown color.
Location of Lentigines
Lentigines (solar lentigines) primarily
occur exclusively in the epidermal layer of the skin,
especially due to excessive activation of melanocytes in the basal layer (Basal layer) from UV exposure, leading to melanin pigment
accumulating in specific areas. Histopathologically, melanin is excessively deposited within the epidermis without penetrating deep into the dermis,
and the borders with surrounding normal tissue are relatively distinct.
For these reasons, targeting pigmentary lesions in the epidermis and upper dermis with 755nm
long-pulse Alexandrite laser treatment is expected to yield good results. Dermis
lesions that affect deeper areas, such as melasma or mixed-type pigmentary lesions, should be treated with a different plan.
Characteristics of the 755nm Wavelength
The 755nm wavelength is an Alexandrite laser wavelength that has a high absorption rate for melanin pigment, allowing it to safely reach the entire epidermal layer and the upper dermal layer.
The 755nm laser, delivered in a long-pulse mode, precisely controls time in milliseconds (ms) to deliver high-power energy to pigmentary lesions. Melanocytes absorb this light energy, convert it into thermal energy, and then effectively break down pigment
particles into smaller fragments. Some of the fragmented pigment undergoes natural metabolic processes on the skin's surface,
and is shed like fine dead skin cells in line with the skin's regeneration cycle. The remaining portion is absorbed and expelled by macrophages within the body.
As these destroyed pigment particles gradually disappear, lentigines are expected to visibly lighten or
improve.
Approach to Lentigo Removal
While the 755nm Alexandrite laser is a suitable wavelength for treating lentigines,
good results do not depend solely on using the equipment. More satisfactory results can be achieved when accurate skin diagnosis, personalized treatment settings, and a systematic post-treatment skin care program are carried out together, leading to more
satisfying outcomes.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What is the recommended interval between treatments?
Generally, considering the skin's regeneration cycle and pigment response, it is recommended to perform treatments at intervals of about 3 to 4 weeks. This is to help the pigmentation gradually lighten without overstressing the skin.
How many sessions are needed for solar lentigo improvement?
For treatments using a 755nm laser, significant changes can usually be expected with just 1 to 2 sessions. However, please understand that depending on individual skin type, the depth and area of solar lentigines, and the degree of regular UV exposure, an additional 2 to 3 sessions may be necessary.
Cautions
Results = Treatment × Aftercare. Please follow the notes below.
To reduce the possibility of hyperpigmentation in the treated area, it is recommended to apply sunscreen diligently and avoid direct strong sunlight exposure.
We recommend refraining from using peeling agents that may irritate the skin for about one week after the procedure.
For about one week after the procedure, it is advisable to refrain from alcohol, smoking, visiting saunas, and strenuous exercise to aid skin recovery.
